The hide, coming from the brown bear that inhabits Japan's northernmost island, is distinctly pebbled with a tough surface and pliable texture. Given the material's wild origins, every boot is unique with subtle textural variation throughout. The leather is built into John Lofgren's Monkey Boot, a silhouette inspired by vintage American lace-to-toe line worker and roofer boots.
